Complementary feeding - Nutrients

Liver is a rich source of folate and vitamin A. Egg yolk is a rich source of many nutrients including vitamin A among others. Avoid egg white until after the age of one because it has a tendency to cause allergies. Foods made from whole milk (e.g yogurt) contain vitamin A. Milk and dairy products are a good source of calcium. Zinc can be found in foods such as beef, fortified cereals, peas, beans and yogurt. Your health care provider can help you identify nutritious foods found within your area.
