HIV/AIDS has been found in saliva (spit) and tears of infected people but not in their sweat. Contact with saliva, tears, or sweat has NOT passed on HIV/AIDS before. HIV/AIDS can NOT be spread by casual contact like hand shaking, sharing food utensils, towels, bedding, clothes, phones, toilet seats. Open mouth kissing is extremely low risk for passing HIV but if either partner has sores/cuts in or around the mouth it is possible for the virus to pass this way.
