A pregnancy test is used to find out if a woman is pregnant. Her urine is tested for chemicals that are increased in pregnancy. If the test is done too early there may not be enough chemicals in the urine so the test can appear negative even when the woman has conceived. If you get a negative test result but still think you are pregnant wait 3 days and try again. The test should be accurate if done on or after the day your period should start. You can get the test at any clinic or drug shop.
