The virus which causes warts (HPV) is not curable but warts are treatable. Treatment depends on their size, how many there are and where. Warts are much easier to treat when they are few and small so go to a health centre as soon as you notice them. Treatment can be a special cream/acid or your health worker may burn/freeze them off. If your partner also has warts both of you must be treated to prevent re-infection. Abstain until warts are healed otherwise you could let in other infections like HIV through the wounds. Wart treatments can be painful-bathing in warm water and taking painkillers can help. Keep the area dry to help treatment be more effective.
