There are different types of insomnia:transient, intermittent (acute) and chronic. Transient insomnia is short term insomnia that can last from a single night to a few weeks. Intermittent insomnia is insomnia that is on and off but not every night. Chronic insomnia is insomnia that occurs most nights and lasts for a month or more. Seek diagnosis and treatment from a health worker if insomnia is a problem.
