Illegal drugs are risky because people sometimes share needles or syringes for injecting drugs-if you are sharing with someone infected with HIV, you can easily get HIV. Even small amounts of blood on your hands, filters, tourniquets or in rinse water can be enough to infect someone. Also, drugs (and alcohol) cloud your judgment and may lead you to make unsafe choices. When you are high, you are unlikely to think about using a condom.
