You can get pregnant while using family planning if you do not follow the instructions. RARELY a family planning method can fail and a woman becomes pregnant while using it. If this happens stop using the method immediately- if you are using contraceptive pills stop taking them. If you are using the IUD or implants have them removed at a clinic. If done early there should be no damage to the unborn baby. If you are already pregnant do not use family planning as it cannot prevent the pregnancy but risks damaging the baby- take a pregnancy test to make sure you are not pregnant before starting family planning.
