Anyone can be tested for HIV/AIDS-even children and babies. When a woman who has HIV/AIDS gives birth her baby is tested 3 times-at 3weeks, 3months and 6months. If you are parents and do not know your status it's wise to get tested. If you have HIV you should also get your children tested. If they are infected drugs can help them be healthier and live longer. A pregnant woman should test for HIV. If she is positive she should join the Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) program which helps prevent the baby from becoming infected.
