The life expectancy of a person living with HIV depends on how early he or she is diagnosed with HIV and starts treatment. Other factors include length of HIV infection, current viral load and CD-4 count, diet and exercise, and regular medication. HIV positive people who practice positive living, maintain a high CD-4 count, eat a healthy diet, exercise regularly and take their medications can live a long life.
