Rape is when a person is forced to have sex against their will. If a condom is not used a raped woman can become pregnant. If you are pregnant because of rape remember that, although unplanned, the child is still a gift and not to blame for what happened to you - it deserves your love and care. If you were raped and no condom was used you are also at risk of HIV and other Sexually Transmitted Infections. It is important to test for these to protect yourself and your unborn baby. If you test HIV positive there are steps you can take to prevent your baby from becoming infected and drugs to help keep you healthy.
