Diarrhoea is a problem with digestion and many diseases can cause it. People with HIV/AIDS have a lower body immunity so are more likely to suffer from diarrhoea but having diarrhoea does not mean you have HIV/AIDS. Diarrhoea causes the body to lose water making you dehydrated so drink a lot of clean water when you have it. To avoid diarrhoea boil drinking water, wash all fruit, cook food properly and wash your hands before meals and after using the toilet. See a health worker if you have other symptoms or your diarrhoea does not get better.
