Anal sex is when a person has sexual intercourse through the anus. You have a higher risk of contracting Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and HIV because anal sex is more likely to cause tears where infected blood can mix and infections can spread. It is wise to know your HIV status and the status of the person you intend to have sex with and ALWAYS USE A CONDOM.
