Polio is an incurable disease caused by a virus that attacks the central nervous system (the web of nerves in the body which control many bodily functions like movement and sensing).Polio can make someone temporarily/permanently weak and paralysed. Its spread person-to-person and by poor sanitation. Signs can be fever, sore throat, diarrhea, headache, stomach ache. Early treatment is important.
