Lung cancer is the abnormal growth of cells in the lungs. It is common in men but women can get it too. It is commonly caused by long-term exposure to tobacco smoke or asbestos dust. Signs of lung cancer include coughing blood, chest pain, difficulty in breathing or swallowing, loss of appetite and weight loss. Avoid smoking or breathing in smoke to prevent lung cancer. Lung cancer can be cured if detected early, so visit the nearest health centre for diagnosis and care IMMEDIATELY if you present these symptoms and if you are a smoker.
