1. Check the expiry date printed on the packet- old condoms do not work properly. 2. When opening the package be careful not to tear the condom. 3. Do not unroll the condom before putting it on the penis. If the penis is not circumcised pull back the foreskin before putting on the condom. Hold the tip of the condom between your thumb and middle finger against the end of the penis and squeeze the air out of it-this prevents it from bursting. 4. Unroll the condom over the full length of the erect penis. 5. After sex remove the penis from the vagina when it is still hard while holding the condom at the base of the penis to make sure it does not come off.
