Women who have just given birth often have changes in hormonal levels that can lead to mood changes, feelings of sadness, unhappiness, anxiety or regret, which can last for days or weeks. Lack of sleep, loss of control over time and appearance and challenges that come with the newborn baby also can cause post-pregnancy blues. If you experience these feelings, seek help from a health worker. The more you know about what to expect, the better prepared you'll be to cope post-pregnancy feelings.
