If you become pregnant while breastfeeding, you do not necessarily have to wean your baby. It is important to eat a balanced diet so as to meet your nutritional needs and your unborn baby's. You will need extra rest and will probably feel more fatigued if you continue breastfeeding during pregnancy. Supply of breast milk decreases during their second trimester, so you may need to supplement or eventually wean. For women with a history of preterm labour, breastfeeding during pregnancy usually isn't recommended. Seek regular antenatal care to ensure safe and healthy pregnancy.
