Tooth decay symptoms include toothache, bad breath, brown or black spots on the teeth, broken teeth and sensitivity. Other signs include pain when eating sweets, hot or cold foods and drinks and when brushing teeth. Severe tooth decay may cause a pus-filled sac(abscess) to form in the bone at the base of a tooth. Symptoms include fever, swollen glands, swollen jaw and intense pain. Seek immediate treatment if you have any of these symptoms.
