Erection of the penis is when the penis is filled with blood and becomes larger, longer and harder. Infants, boys and men can all have erections. When blood flows out of the tissue of the penis, it returns to its regular size. Erections happen when the man is sexually aroused, when the penis is touched and sometimes for no reason at all.
