There are different medicines used to treat high blood pressure. Often, one drug may not be enough to control high blood pressure and a person may need to take two or more drugs. It is very important that you take the medications prescribed by the doctor or health worker. If you have any side effects go back to the health unit for a different medication. Other ways to reduce high blood pressure include: exercise, losing weight, following a healthier diet and reducing the intake of salt, alcohol and fatty foods.
