Tuberculous meningitis develops when the bacteria that causes TB spreads through blood to the brain where it grows and multiplies in the layers covering the brain(called meninges).This usually shows as fevers, neck pain/rigidity and headaches. This is a fatal disease and should always be managed in a health unit.
