You may develop complications after the bugs at the infected site spread to the rest of the body. You may go into a coma, delirium, develop disfiguring or disabling permanent tissue damage, jaundice with liver damage, kidney failure, shock, spread of infection through the body(sepsis) and stupor. Always seek help from your nearest health unit as fast as possible if you have a significant injury.
