You are likely to develop symptoms 2-14days after a tick bite. Symptoms include high fever, chills, bad headaches, muscle pain, mental confusion, a rash that comes some days after the fever-first on wrists and ankles as spots that are 1-5mm in diameter, then spreads to most of the body. Some infected people do not get a rash at all. Additional symptoms that may be associated with this disease include abnormal sensitivity to light, diarrhea, excessive thirst, hallucinations, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting.
