If you have Rift Valley fever, you may develop complications, eg inflammation of the retina(which links the nerves of the eye to the brain), a condition which can lead to vision problems or partial blindness. Some people may die of the disease. Those who are malnourished, sick with other diseases, or far from good medical care are at a greater risk of dying.
