Treatment depends on the type of kidney cancer you have and whether it has spread. If the cancer hasn't spread outside of your kidney, part or all of your kidney may be removed. This operation is called a total or partial nephrectomy. For some people this can be done with keyhole surgery using a laparoscope(a fine tube with a camera attached).
