Hypothyroidism symptoms usually show slowly and one may not notice them for some time. Early symptoms include:sensitivity to cold, constipation, depression, tiredness, slowness in body and mind, muscle aches and weakness, dry and scaly skin, easily breaking hair and nails, heavy or irregular periods, weight gain and memory problems.
