Some of the causes of the major sequelae of tuberculosis are not well understood, but consist of disturbed lung function, CRF, sleep disorder and lung hypertension that persist even after treatment. In addition, secondary lung infection with bacteria, fungi and other uncommon germs, if not controlled, may continue and damage the tissues more.
