Dermatology is the branch of medicine concerned with diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders of the skin, a unique specialty with both medical and surgical aspects. Dermatologists also study the structure and function of the skin and the relationship between skin pathologies and malfunctions of other organs of the body. A dermatologist takes care of diseases, in the widest sense and some cosmetic problems of the skin, scalp, hair and nails.
