Miscarriage( and so habitual abortion) may come with complications, eg excessive bleeding leading to lowered blood pressure; retained products of conception, eg placenta and other foetal tissues; severe psychological stress and /or depression to the mother. The conditions that put the mother at risk of miscarriage may also have complications of their own, eg formation of blood clots in patients with thrombophilia.
