The main complication of bartholin's cyst is when the fluid that has accumulated inside the glands gets infected(bartholinitis).Pus may accumulate leading to a condition called a Bartholin's abscess. The previously swollen lump becomes painful and feels warm. The discomfort becomes worse than it was before.
