Medical treatment is offered if the cause of ptosis is a muscle disease called myasthenia, which causes muscles to be weak. Ptosis crutches to support your eyelid are also available. These are usually fixed to the frame of eyeglasses to hold the drooping eyelid up. However, this may be uncomfortable and you may not tolerate it well.
