What puts you at risk of ptosis may include having relatives who have it. This type will most likely affect one eye and come together with a cross eye. Also having infections or irritation of the upper eyelid, or growth, may increase the weight at the upper eyelid causing it to droop. Disorders of your thyroid and age(over 60) could also put you at risk.
