Tests done to pregnant mothers to examine both the mother and the baby and ensure that both are in good health. It will usually involve testing of mothers blood for HIV, anemia, mothers blood sugar, mothers urine and regular blood pressure monitoring for the mother. An ultrasound to see the shape, size of baby and its organs is also done.
