Treatment of nephritis depends on the cause. If it is an infection, your doctor will treat the infection. If due to medicine, s/he will probably have you stop taking the medicine or prescribe a different one. In some cases, corticosteroids(to reduce inflammation) may be required. Dialysis, a treatment that uses a special machine to filter the blood, is sometimes necessary depending on the severity of the condition.
