The main symptom you will experience with senile cataracts is gradual loss of visual acuity(sharpness).It may progress to just light perception. This means that you can perceive light but cannot identify objects or people. Cataracts alone do not cause blindness. It is worse in bright light. Your family or close friends may notice that your pupil is white.
