To diagnose cardiogenic shock, your doctor will look for signs and symptoms of shock and heart attack, then do tests to confirm this e. g. a chest X-ray. Some wires will be placed on your chest to monitor the electrical activity of the heart and images of how the heart is beating(echocardiogram) will be made. Blood tests will also be done to check for complications and causes of shock.
