The doctor may order a test called nasal endoscopy. This involves insertion of a tiny camera through a thin flexible tube through the nostrils to be able to locate the polyp. At times the doctor may do a test for allergies to find out if they are contributing to irritation of the nasal passages leading to polyps growing.
