Impetigo most commonly shows around the nose, mouth, hands, forearms and areas covered by diapers(nappies) in infants. It shows as either large blisters(bullous impetigo) or the crusted form(non bullous impetigo)-the crusted form is slightly more common than the blister form. The blisters are usually more likely to persist on the skin without bursting. The crusted type accumulates a colour that is yellowish on the surface.
