If you have mild to moderate puerperal sepsis, you're likely to have high temperatures that occur within 24 hours. Your uterus will still feel big and painful. The vaginal discharge will be foul smelling and if you had sutures done for tears or episiotomy, you may have local pain and swelling along the suture line. You may experience headaches, lack of sleep and poor appetite.
