The commonest causes of obstructive uropathy include:renal stones anywhere in the urinary tract, eg ureter, bladder; urinary tract tumor; benign prostatic hyperplasia(enlarged prostate); tumors of adjacent organs, eg bladder, ureteral, colon, cervical and uterine cancer; and pregnancy.
