Proteinuria refers to excess amounts of proteins in the urine. These proteins often make the urine foamy. Foamy urine may be due to other causes, eg bilirubin(a colored product released after destruction of red blood cells), retrograde ejaculation, air bubbles in urine and some drugs. If you develop foamy urine, see your doctor.
