In human cytomegalovirus congenital infection, the signs and symptoms in these babies can be jaundice, enlarged spleen and liver, skin rash, small head, movement disabilities, eye disorders and brain calcium deposits. Babies that survive can show mental retardation, small-sized head, movement disabilities, hearing loss and chronic liver disease.
