To diagnose peptic ulcers, your doctor will ask about your symptoms, examine you and may also ask about your medical history. If you may have a peptic ulcer, she/he may recommend some tests to diagnose you and decide what treatment is best for you. These tests may include a stool or blood test for Helicobacter pylori, and /or endoscopy.
