Trichuriasis symptoms vary from mild to severe. If you have light infestations, you often have no symptoms. More severe infection of whipworm, esp in small children, can cause gastrointestinal problems, eg bloody diarrhoea, iron related anaemia and protrusion of lower large intestine.
