HIV-related cancer occurring as Burkitt's lymphoma is a highly aggressive lymphoma which, if not detected and treated early, can lead to death. The diagnosis depends on appreciation of its rapid growth at presentation, clinical examination, laboratory tests and examination of specimens with the microscope.
