Secondary bed-wetting can be a sign of an underlying medical or emotional problem. Urinary tract infections (UTI) can cause irritation and a stronger urge to urinate frequently. Diabetics urinate frequently to release excessive sugar. An abnormality in the organs, muscles, or nerves involved in urination and emotional problems like stress and major life changes can cause bed-wetting. Children who are being abused may begin bed-wetting. If bed-wetting continues, visit the nearest health unit for help.
