Burkitts lymphoma is a type of cancer caused by Epstein Barr Virus(EBV) that usually attacks the lymphatic system and is common in children. Signs of Burkitts lymphoma include swelling of the jaw, abdomen and occasionally the testicles. The tumours formed by Burkitts lymphoma can also spread to the nervous system, damaging the nerves and causing weakness or paralysis. Burkitts lymphoma can be stopped, so visit the nearest health centre for diagnosis and care IMMEDIATELY if you are worried about unexplained swellings.
