Treatment - Medications

These are usually reserved for men with very short periods before ejaculation and may not be the first treatment that your doctor suggests. Different drugs may be used; the most common ones are antidepressants (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors). These have been proved to prolong the time required to ejaculate by up to 3 times the usual. These drugs are generally safe to use but may have some side effects like: headaches, sleep problems, nausea, vomiting and weakness.
