Sildenafil(Viagra)can be taken up to 1 hour before intercourse causing an erection in response to sexual stimulation. It can last up to 4 hours. The duration of the erection or sexual drive are not increased. Sildenafil should be taken once every 24 hours. It is not recommended for people who have had heart attacks and uncontrolled hypertension. It should not be taken with drugs for heart pain.
