Disorders of the ovary
Disorders such as polycystic ovarian syndrome, cause the ovaries to develop clusters of blister-like cysts that may interfere with production of hormones leading to amenorrhoea. Tumours of the ovary may also cause the ovaries to malfunction and lead to amenorrhoea.
